Cartology GM Koning Departs
In Australia, Jodie Koning, GM Of Marketing, Insights and Integration at Woolworths-owned retail media business Cartology, has left the business after five years.
Cartology provides advertising solutions, underpinned by first-party customer insight and promoting brands through the group's BIG W and Woolworths stores. It recently announced a new Client Advisory and Value Creation function, and in April appointed former dunnhumby employee Hannah Siddiqui to lead a new Intelligence and Effectiveness function.
According to a report on marketing news site www.mumbrella.com.au , Koning says she will now 'take a breather'. On LinkedIn, she states: 'As a member of the original leadership team, I had the immense privilege of helping to build and scale the business, truly pioneering the retail media landscape across Australia and New Zealand.'
Earlier in her career Koning spent five years in brand and strategy roles at Diageo, eighteen months at McDonald's and then returned to Diageo as Senior Innovation Manager. She then served as national Marketing Director of the Australian Radio Network for five years, then in senior marketing roles at wellness brand Blackmores, outdoor campaigns firm Adshel and oOh!, after it acquired Adshel.
Cartology MD Mike Tyquin told Mumbrella Koning had helped to build and define the Cartology brand and played a leading role in its growth over the last six years. He added: The leadership team and I extend our deepest thanks for her contribution to our business and wish her all the best in her next chapter.'
The company is online at www.cartology.com.au .
