Sales Leader Takes MD Role at MiQ
MiQ has appointed Andy Barnet as Managing Director, West, overseeing its business in California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona and Nevada.
MiQ's offer combines buying platforms, ad inventory and audience intelligence. Headquartered in London, the firm now employs around 300 data scientists, engineers, analysts and traders, in 21 offices across North America, Europe, APAC and Latin America. The company is rolling out 'Sigma', a platform it claims is 'the world's first AI technology designed to unify the programmatic advertising ecosystem,' and which pulls in data from more than 300 feeds, processing a claimed 700 trillion consumer signals across TV viewing, online and in-store activity.
Barnet was previously an SVP at Cast Iron Media in Los Angeles, and brings in-depth experience of leading sales teams, with a focus on the programmatic ad space. He has also worked at Ampersand, Xandr, and NBCUniversal.
In his new role based in Los Angeles, Barnet will focus on expanded partnerships and new customer acquisitions across three core business areas for MiQ - holding companies, brands, and independent agencies - focused on the media and entertainment, automotive, QSR, travel and financial and fintech industries.
'I've had the opportunity to work with [Andy] a few times in my career,' says MiQ's US Chief Revenue Officer Marion Hargett, 'nd I know that his leadership, combined with our agnostic approach to adtech and the power of our new AI-driven platform, MiQ Sigma, will enable us to deliver truly customized solutions for our clients.'
