Funds for Data Platform Definite
In the US, AI-native data platform Definite has secured $10m in seed funding, with which to accelerate product development and sales and marketing hires.
 Definite's AI-native platform combines a secure data lake, pipelines and dashboards, removing the need for client enterprises to invest time and money in separate suppliers for processes from data warehousing down to BI and data viz. Definite says companies can connect their tools and get answers in minutes, claiming that it makes self-serve, ad hoc analytics '10x faster and 10x cheaper than stitching together traditional products that demand a full data team.'
The round was led by Costanoa, with participation from Acrew Capital and strategic angels. CEO and founder Mike Ritchie (pictured) comments: 'Teams shouldn't need six months, a half-million-dollar budget, and a team of engineers to get answers about their business. We built Definite to make analytics radically simpler. With open-source under the hood and AI powering every interaction, we're giving teams inquiry without the (SQL) queries.'
