Anecdote Becomes Clarity, Secures Funding
British firm Clarity, a CX and VoC platform for highly regulated industries, has raised $12m in funding. The firm, which was formerly known as Anecdote, will use the money to expand its applied AI teams in New York, London and Riyadh.
Anecdote was founded by Abed Kasaji and Pavel Kochetkov, members of the so-called 'Careem mafia', a group of founders who have launch some of MENA's most successful startups. Clarity's platform features multiple safeguards for clients in highly-regulated industries, including fraud detection (the software claims to flag 96% of fraud reports within seconds); early escalation of high-risk interactions; FCA-compliant tagging and pattern detection across reviews, surveys and social media; and human-in-the-loop review for sensitive legal, political or financial cases.
The round was led by Prosus Ventures with participation from STV Al Fund (backed by Google), Sukna Ventures, Wamda Capital, Neo, Oraseya Capital, Phaze Ventures, Propeller, and Tech Invest Com, as well as angel investors.
'Rebranding to Clarity is about exactly that, bringing more clarity to customer experience,' comments CEO Kasaji (pictured right). 'We want AI to be simple, useful, and safe. A lot of tools in the market cut corners, and that doesn't work in industries where mistakes aren't an option. From day one we built Clarity to be compliant, secure, and easy to roll out. This new funding lets us keep improving the tech and building the right partnerships so companies can finally modernize customer operations with confidence.'
