M/A/R/C Brings In Health and Well-Being Expert

US-based M/A/R/C Research has hired applied behavioral science practitioner and author Elsa Larson, PhD, as Vice President of its Health and Well-Being practice.

In addition to custom research and well-established analysis products, M/A/R/C offers agile solutions branded as 'Accelerated', and including Concept Screen, Brand Health, Choice, Sort and Ad Impact Measurement. Four weeks ago the firm appointed regulatory science and public health research specialist Stacey Bell as Vice President of Insights & Strategies in its Regulated Sciences practice.

Larson's career spans industry, consulting, academic medicine, government and nonprofit sectors, and has included work on complex and hard-to-change behaviors such as smoking cessation, HIV prevention and vaccine uptake. Her research has informed both commercial innovation and regulatory science, including FDA submissions for reduced-risk nicotine products and public health interventions aimed at harm reduction. She joins from Global Action to End Smoking, where she was Director of Programs, and earlier served in multiple senior scientist roles at Altria. She holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Behavioral Science with a concentration in Health Psychology, as well as an M.S. in Pharmacoepidemiology from the University of Rhode Island, home to the development of the Transtheoretical Model (TTM) of behavior change.
