Funds for Insurtech Platform Rehuman
Accenture has announced an investment in UK-based start-up Rehuman, a specialist in customer engagement software for the insurance industry. Terms of the investment were not disclosed.
Rehuman's platform uses intelligent engagement tools such as automated alerts on renewals, potential policy lapses, and personalized insurance recommendations. Policyholders can use its digital wallet to upload, manage and securely store policies including auto, health and life insurance, in a single centralized location, while its AI tools help to decode complex coverage details, identify potential gaps and compare alternative insurance plans. Last week the firm raised £1m in a pre-seed funding round led by Fuel Ventures.
The new money, via the consulting giant's Accenture Ventures division, will allow Rehuman to scale its operations and further develop its data and agentic AI solutions for insurance companies, promising 'more connected and highly personalized customer experiences, fostering deeper engagement.' Rehuman will also join the investor division's 'Project Spotlight' accelerator for data and AI companies.
Khalid Lahraoui, Accenture's Insurance industry group lead, says the investment 'goes beyond digital convenience - it transforms how insurers and brokers engage with policyholders, creating more seamless, personalized and meaningful experiences.' Aaron Sherwood, founder & CEO of Rehuman comments: 'The Rehuman digital wallet is just the beginning of our bigger vision to empower brokers, managing general agents (MGAS), insurance and bancassurance companies with a real competitive advantage. Powered by a custom AI model, we're giving them the ability to turn customer engagement into business revenue.'
Accenture's headcount is up to 779,000. The company is online at www.accenture.com while Rehuman is at www.rehuman.co.uk .
