Chalmers Rejoins Asda in Lead Customer Data Role
In the UK Chris Chalmers, currently Customer Director for JD Sports, is to rejoin supermarket chain Asda in the New Year, as Vice President for Customer Data and Loyalty.
Chalmers (pictured) worked previously as Asda's Digital Marketing Director from 2012 to 2017, and earlier worked at Tesco and Jet2. Since leaving Asda for the first time he has served in senior marketing roles at Thomas Cook, personal shopping service Studio Retail, and as a consultant for Morrisons. On his return he will lead the strategic development and execution of the Asda Rewards customer loyalty programme, as well as digital and performance marketing for Asda.com and George.com - George is the store's clothing brand. He will also lead CRM for both brands, and oversee the development of Asda's customer data strategy.
