billups Hires for Expansion on Three Continents

Out-of-home (OOH) technology and managed services company billups has appointed Marc Marienfeld as MD of Germany, based in Munich; Salvador García to lead its entry into a new market, Mexico, also with the title of MD; and Sunil Yadav as Head of Revenue, APAC, based in Singapore.

Marc Marienfeld, Salvador García and Sunil YadavNew York-based billups aims 'to make Out-of-Home as automated and attributable as the most effective digital ads', through a combination of patented scientific targeting, ad impact measurement, and an AI-powered recommendation engine to help companies optimize their promotion and monetization of the medium. In a busy 2024 it acquired Brussels-based independent OOH agency Outsight; moved into ANZ by acquiring New Zealand OOH agency Billie Media and the UK via acquisition of Mediabridge Global; and launched a suite of attention metrics. In July, it reported rapid growth both in headcount and revenue.

Marienfeld (pictured top) will lead the firm's expansion in the German market, and brings more than twenty years of senior media leadership from roles at Wavemaker Germany, GroupM's mPlatform, and Kinetic Worldwide. He joins from HYGH AG where he was Chief Growth Officer. EMEA Chief Exec James McEwan welcomes his 'energy, passion, and wide expertise of the German OOH landscape,' and comments: 'As Europe's largest economy, and already the second-largest European destination for our international clients, we look forward to Marc and his team helping us grow our domestic and global capabilities in this vital market.'

García (pictured middle) brings two decades of commercial and media leadership across Mexico, Central America, and Spain, including senior roles at Latcom, TV Azteca, and Planet IFE. Yadav (pictured below) brings experience from Amazon, Twitch, Dentsu, WPP and Publicis, and deep expertise in digital and programmatic OOH. In his new role he will drive commercial and investment strategy across the APAC region.
