Simmonds Joins the Board at UK Social Specialist M.E.L
Birmingham, UK-based social research and behavioural insights agency M.E.L Research has promoted Elliot Simmonds to Commercial Director, with a seat on its Board.
Founded in the 1980s, M.E.L aims to make a positive difference to organisations, employees, customers and wider society, and works across sectors including health, education, waste and resource, wellbeing, housing and development, policing and community resilience, arts, culture and heritage, transport and infrastructure.
Simmonds (pictured) joined the company in 2021 and is promoted from Client Solutions Director, where he has played a central role in strengthening client relationships and delivering research across the organisation's project portfolio. He spent the previous fourteen years at North of England-based full-service agency DJS Research, latterly as Research Director working with clients in the education and cultural sectors.
In his new role he will lead the development and implementation of the company's commercial strategy, overseeing sales and marketing functions and working closely with the senior leadership team.
Simmonds himself says of the news: 'It's a real privilege to join the Board... Having been part of the organisation for a number of years, I've seen first-hand the dedication, curiosity and integrity that underpin our work...
