Small Research Launch

Small Times Media, a provider of business information in the emerging fields of nanotechnology, MEMS and microtechnology, has announced the formation of EmTech Research, a new division focused solely on MR.

In addition to custom market research, EmTech will provide targeted market research reports and in-depth analysis of states and regions looking to expand their activities in its key fields, making use of Small Times Media's database of relevant companies and organisations. Recently hired MEMS and emerging technology market analyst Marlene Bourne will head up the new division.

Trade publication Small Times Magazine released its annual ranking of the top 10 micro and nanotechnology states last week.

'Small Times Media has been executing custom market research projects for companies and key government agencies for the past three years', said Small Times Media CEO Patti Glaza. 'The demand for our analytical services was so strong that we decided to launch a separate division to answer those needs'.

'Economic development groups need to examine their region's micro and nanotechnology activity closely', adds Glaza, 'because the decisions they make now will allow them to reap economic rewards over the next five to 10 years'.
