Hello Ara Launches Insight-Based Creative Environment
Conversational AI research firm Hello Ara has launched an AI-based interface called The Whale, designed to bring research data and creative ideas together and allow teams to develop high quality visuals and materials backed by insights.
Hello Ara is headquartered in London and Cape Town and was founded in 2020. The firm integrates research into 'comfortable and engaging' environments so as to enhance the respondent experience and the quality / depth of insights. Previous launches include a customisable multi-room immersive research environment, and an environment for the conduct of qual studies within the Roblox gaming system.
Its latest release, The Whale, loads existing research assets including reports, conversational AI data, images, stimulus and insight frameworks into a co-creation package from which users can bring their presentaions and data to life, and generate ideas, concepts, storyboards, semiotic territories, and video and audio content. The firm says insight has 'too often lived on the sidelines of the creative process,' with reports gathering dust on shelves, and only a handful of memorable stories making it through to marketing and creative teams: The Whale aims to bring researchers, marketers, strategists, and creatives to work together and create from the same evidence base.
According to Hello Ara, the new solution works best if users start with a facilitated workshop, providing hands-on training - this is followed by monthly access.'The Whale is built around client-owned data and expert logic,' says co-founder David Wright. 'Teams can create custom-trained specialist agents focused on specific categories, brands or business challenges, ensuring outputs remain relevant, commercially useful, and deeply rooted in insight. A variety of AI models work together behind the scenes, alongside built-in creative techniques designed to spark new thinking.'
Co-founder and Director Karlien Kriegler adds: 'The Whale has been in a soft launch for over a year and has been shaped through real client use. We've collaborated with global brands on campaign ideas, innovation projects, and creative workshops to help re-energise their work. Creativity and using your imagination, often gets lost in daily work pressures. The Whale makes it easy to be curious about data, connect the dots across disciplines, allow conversation and interaction that surface new ideas and expose users to novel output that can break routine thinking patterns.'
