Omnisis Upgrades 3D Pack Testing Capabilities
Manchester, UK-based MR operations support specialist Omnisis has enhanced its data collection capabilities with an upgrade to its PackSpin survey question type. The tool now allows participants to move, zoom in, and annotate 3D shapes and packaging.
Founded in 2002, Omnisis employs a team of operational researchers offering survey conduct and data analysis to other MR companies which don't have their own operations team in-house. In October it launched a data quality solution called Sheep Dip, promising an improved pre-survey prepping approach.
PackSpin also launched last year, and was nominated for the MRS Oppies Online Data Collection Award. Version 2.0, just out, allows respondents to give their thoughts on any 3D shape, including the likes of drinks bottles, 3D characters and textured perfume bottles.
The concept was developed on the assumption that survey respondents would be able to offer 'more reliable data and insights if they could spin, rotate or zoom in on packaging details like they can with a physical pack.' Managing Director Brian Cooper comments: 'We've had some amazing feedback on PackSpin amongst our clients, so we put our heads together to develop PackSpin 2.0. We wanted to create something that no one else in the industry has created and I'm really excited about its potential for any clients who are looking to gather respondent feedback on a 3D shape.'
The company is online at www.omnisis.co.uk , and a demo of PackSpin can be found here.
