IQVIA Partners with NVIDIA for AI Platform Launch

Pharma data giant IQVIA has unveiled a unified agentic AI platform, IQVIA.ai, promising to 'transform' how life sciences organizations operate, innovate and make both clinical and commercial decisions.

Kimberly PowellThe new solution was announced at the annual NVIDIA GTC event, and draws on the AI chip company's Nemotron, NeMo Agent Toolkit, Dynamo and LangChain software alongside IQVIA's life sciences expertise, 'healthcare-grade AI' and data assets, to offer a 'digital command center' integrating automation, advanced analytics and decision support. The platform uses a conversational interface, and learns continuously from complex operational feedback, while carefully aligning its actions with healthcare regulatory, privacy and quality standards.

IQVIA says it has been working with NVIDIA more than a year ago to develop the agentic foundation on which IQVIA.ai is built, has filed more than 100 AI-related patents and has deployed more than 150 intelligent agents across internal teams and client environments.

Kimberly Powell (pictured), VP of Healthcare and Life Sciences at NVIDIA, comments: 'The sheer volume and complexity of data within the life sciences industry have outpaced traditional methods of research and manual workflow. By combining IQVIA's proprietary data and deep domain expertise with NVIDIA technology, IQVIA.ai provides the advanced agentic infrastructure needed to transform this data into actionable insights, enabling organizations to scale AI responsibly and accelerate the delivery of life-changing treatments.

IQVIA, which was formed from the 2016 merger of Quintiles and IMS Health, employs around 93,000 people in more than 100 countries. Its Technology & Analytics Solutions division focuses mostly on commercial data and insights and accounts for about 40% of the company in terms of revenue and staff - the remainder is mostly focused on clinical tech and applications.
