Digital Extension for Guideline's Local Ad Price Benchmark
In the US, Guideline has expanded its pricing intelligence product SQADCosts Local, delivering CPM benchmarks for locally geo-targeted digital buys across the country's top 60 plus video and audio publishers.
Guideline's proprietary spend and pricing data represents approximately $200 billion in annual media investment across 65 countries worldwide. The firm's SQADCosts Local has been providing local linear pricing data on the buy and sell sides for decades, through a framework benchmarking average, low and high price points. The Digital extension now does the same for Connected TV, audio streaming, and podcasting ads, focused on locally geo-targeted media.
The extension promises relief for those buyers who have had to base decisions on national benchmarks, notwithstanding the substantial differences in pricing across local markets. The tool reports exclusively on locally geo-targeted media, and normalizes every data point to a comparable baseline across publishers, content and targeting. This means making allowances for different pricing applied depending on audience targeting, ad length, content type, and inventory packaging.
The 60 plus publishers covered include major CTV streamers, ad-supported video platforms, audio streaming services and podcast networks.
According to CEO Vincent Mifsud: 'Guideline SQADCosts Local has long been the standard for local pricing transparency in linear, and our customers have asked us to bring that same level of clarity to digital media. The Digital Extension gives local-first buyers and sellers a like-for-like view of geo-targeted CPMs across CTV, digital video, audio streaming, and podcasting, reported in the same Average, Low, and High framework they already rely on every day.'
