Circana Adds Social Commerce Solution

Global retail data specialist Circana has launched a solution called Social Commerce, promising daily insights into the rapidly growing social commerce landscape, a channel which it says traditional point-of-sale data collection has not measured.

Jeremy AllenCircana was created following the 2022 merger of global consumer data firms IRI and The NPD Group. Its solutions are based around long-established product LiquidData, updated recently with the addition of LiquidAI; and Attribute Marketplace, which allows clients to browse and select attributes from external datasets. Earlier this month it unveiled a new advanced statistical modeling solution, Market Share Drivers, for US CPG clients.

The new solution delivers detailed data and analysis to help clients navigate and succeed on social commerce platforms, with a flexible view of performance to help users understand market dynamics, product engagement and competitive landscapes. This includes measurement of performance by product and shop, tracking a combination of volumetric, sentiment and engagement metrics across the firm's established brand and manufacturer attributes.
