Kantar Veteran Joins Ipsos to Lead BHT Innovation
Ipsos has appointed long-time Kantar executive Jorge Alagón as Chief Innovation Officer within its Brand Health Tracking business, Ipsos BHT. He reports to Global Service Line Leader BHT, Benoit Tranzer.
The firm says Alagón (pictured) will lead the next generation of innovation within BHT, harnessing new technologies and advanced analytics. Most of his thirty years of experience were gained at Kantar: after working at J. Walter Thompson in Mexico, he joined Millward Brown in April 2002 in a VP R&D role and stayed there / at Kantar until this Spring, rising to Global Head of IP and Solutions Innovation, Brand.
His experience includes driving the development and commercialization of scalable AI/ML analytics and GenAI solutions for predictive modelling, time-series analysis, data integration and insight automation; and he has helped expand the use of search, social and GenAI-generated signals to understand how brands appear across emerging digital environments. He has also lectured at leading universities across Latin America.
Tranzer says Alagón's 'unparalleled experience and forward-thinking mindset are sure to propel Ipsos BHT to new heights.' Chris Murphy, Ipsos' Global Head of Service Lines Market & Brand, states: 'I am overjoyed to be working with Jorge again! Some of my happiest career memories are collaborations with Jorge Alagon. In a period of intense and exciting change in the world of brand measurement, I can think of nobody better than Jorge to lead the charge. We are so grateful he has chosen to work with us here at Ipsos.'
