Former GroupM Chief Juhl Joins S4 Board
Sir Martin Sorrell's digital marketing group S4 has appointed former GroupM CEO Christian Juhl as an independent Non-Executive Director.
S4 was set up by Sorrell within weeks of his departure from WPP in May 2018 and grew rapidly in its first four years, but has seen more challenging times since. It reported annual revenues down 8.7% to £755m for 2025 and reduced its headcount to around 6,350 people, but says it expects improvements this year after successful cost-cutting.
Juhl was Global CEO of GroupM from 2019 to 2024, before moving to the role of President of Corporate Development at WPP. Earlier he led ad industry firms Essence and Razorfish. He also serves on the Board of Boston based Akkio, which provides an AI workflow platform for media agencies and marketers.
Sorrell said in a statement: 'We are delighted to welcome Christian to the S4 board. He has extensive media investment management knowledge and experience, rooted in digital marketing.'
