Homescan Appointment Helps Expansion

ACNielsen has appointed Todd R. Kaiser as Director - Custom Survey Research for its Homescan Marketing team. The company recently announced two new consumer insights services powered by Homescan, along with aggressive launch plans in Asia and Europe.

Kaiser has twenty years of relevant experience, most recently as SVP - Global Director of Concept Testing & Sales Forecasting at Synovate. Previous roles include client service SVP for Product Intelligence and Director, Modeling & Analytical Services for the NPD Group.

The new role puts Kaiser in charge of the development and implementation of Homescan's custom survey research capabilities, with particular emphasis on emerging online services linked to actual purchase behavior.

The latest US launch is New Product Alert, which gives CPG manufacturers the opportunity to survey buyers of their new products shortly after purchase. The online service quickly identifies buyers of new products, and then sends them brief surveys about their motivations for purchase and satisfaction. Other services including further speciality panels and a new retailer equity measurement service are due for launch this year.

In Asia Pacific, ACNielsen Consumer Panel Services are now available in nine markets, representing tens of millions of consumers with a total panel size exceeding 20,000 households and Thailand the latest addition.
