Wealleans to Drive EMEA Growth for OvationMR

US-based global insights consultancy OvationMR has appointed Paul Wealleans as Managing Director, UK and EMEA, based in London, as it looks to accelerate its growth across international markets.

Ovation was founded in 2016 and provides market research audiences and insights worldwide. The firm acquired AI-driven qual platform Qualibee and mobile-first 'in the moment' feedback provider Ethos in 2024, and earlier this year hired long-time Nebu sales leader Ian Roberts as SVP, Insights and Strategy. The latest appointment follows a period of continued investment in its international capabilities.

Wealleans (pictured) brings more than 30 years of commercial leadership and consultative MR industry experience. He spent two decades in management and director roles in the media industry - thirteen at Northeast Press Ltd and six at The Scotsman - before joining the research sector around a dozen years ago. Since then he has served as MD at Northumberland companies Panelbase and DRG; as MD UKI for Norstat, which acquired them three years ago; and more recently as CEO at MR-focused translation and transcription firm Empower.

In his new role he will lead OvationMR's development across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, with responsibility for building client relationships, developing strategic partnerships, and establishing a strong regional presence.
