MCP Launches for Rep Data and HFS

HFS Research and Rep Data are the latest companies in the insights and analytics sector to announce MCP launches. Clients of analyst firm HFS can now access its research directly through the major LLMs, while users of Rep Data's Research Desk can use them to set up and launch fieldwork.

Tech markets and sourcing advisory firm HFS says clients can now bring its research and data directly into conversations in Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini using the HFS MCP tool; interrogate and explore data, assess service providers and benchmark performance. 'We have always believed research should not sit on a shelf,' says CEO and Chief Analyst Phil Fersht. 'It should challenge conventional thinking, provoke better questions, and ultimately help leaders make better decisions. AI now gives us the opportunity to make that experience dramatically more immediate and useful.' Fersht says the analyst model will continue to evolve with AI, so that the firm's research 'becomes embedded directly into how our clients think, analyze, and make decisions.'


Separately, New Orleans, LA-based data quality and anti-fraud specialist Rep Data has launched an LLM-agnostic MCP Server for Research Desk, allowing user companies to connect Research Desk with AI tools including Claude and ChatGPT without being tied to a single provider. Researchers can interact with Research Desk through natural language, to create and manage projects, configure project parameters and generate survey deployment URLs; while developers can connect its capabilities to custom applications, workflows and proof-of-concept environments.
