Euro Firms Combine for Global Beauty Insights Offering
Swedish company Generation Research and France-based Beauté Research are to integrate their offerings, promising clients a global view of the prestige beauty and cosmetic sector across 'all major global travel retail regions.'
Generation specialises in the global travel retail sector, across multiple categories including Beauty, Wine & Spirits, Tobacco, Confectionery & Fine Food, Fashion & Accessories, Watches & Jewellery, and Electronics Gifts. The firm combines supplier panels, retailer insights and desk research to deliver country level and channel specific benchmarking, trend analysis and market intelligence for Europe, Asia Pacific, the Americas, the Middle East and Africa.
Beauté Research focuses on the global beauty and cosmetic industry in Asia, delivering country level and category specific reports analysing consumer behaviour and market opportunities across skincare, cosmetics, fragrance and haircare - across both APAC travel retail and domestic markets.
The companies say the integration - which will leave their individual identities intact - represents 'a significant step forward in the ability to provide the industry with a truly global view of the Prestige Beauty and cosmetic sector across all major Global Travel Retail regions.' The two have complementary businesses - different geographic perspectives, market expertise, data capabilities and category knowledge - and intend the combination to serve as 'a strong platform' for developing the other categories familiar to Generation Research.
Beauté Research CEO Jean-Marc Schonbach comments: 'We are excited to combine our capabilities to create greater value for the beauty industry. We are now able to offer broader coverage and improved market intelligence, particularly across Global Travel Retail.' Generation's CEO Sébastien Van Vyve states: 'By combining Generation Research's global Travel Retail expertise with Beauté Research's deep knowledge of domestic markets, we can give brands a broader, more connected view of the duty-free landscape and help them make better-informed strategic decisions.'
