Kline Hires Broaden Consulting Base

New Jersey-based consulting and research firm Kline & Company, Inc. has appointed Mitch Halpern, Noel Lim, and Thomas Aldred to its Global Consulting division. The company focuses on the chemicals and materials, consumer products, life sciences, and energy sectors.

The three new recruits have distinct specialist knowledge and Senior VP Eric Vogelsberg says their arrival will add to the breadth as well as the depth of the company's capabilities. The new hires are the latest in a period of expansion for the firm, which has spent the past year expanding its Shanghai and Brussels offices to meet demand for global project work. It has also just acquired the consulting business of Cellestian, with whom it worked on previous projects in the chemicals and petroleum products industries.

Halpern joins as a Senior Engagement Manager after a 20-year tenure with SRI Consulting Business Intelligence in Menlo Park, CA. His experience is focused on market entry and growth strategies, competitive analyses, and forecasting and planning methodologies in the chemicals, electronics, biotechnology, and advanced materials fields. He has a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of California at Berkeley.

Lim becomes the firm's Manager of Econometrics, responsible for developing and integrating statistical analysis and modeling techniques into the firm's client offerings. He worked previously in the chemicals industry, in executive compensation consulting and in telecommunications. He has a Ph.D. in economics from Vanderbilt University.

Aldred joins as an Engagement Manager, and brings expertise in supply chain optimization, process improvement, and manufacturing cost analysis. Previous experience includes management positions at Accenture and National Starch & Chemical.
