WebMD Ignite Adds 'Ruby' Marketing Agent Suite
WebMD's 'Ignite' Health division had launched Ruby, a network of specialized AI agents which promises to automate healthcare advertising and associated workflows including research, audience analysis, media planning, and reporting and measurement.
WebMD Ignite Ruby combines in one workflow specialized AI agents which analyze markets and competitors, identify audiences, develop strategies, plan media, support campaign execution and continually optimize performance. The suite includes agents for marketing mix modeling (MMM), to advise on where marketing dollars should be spent, and the firm says it should reduce technology and labor costs while allowing provider organizations to manage more marketing activity with the resources they already have.
The new system is designed to combine the company's proprietary healthcare-specific data and market intelligence with a client organizations' own approved data and other sources, giving it far more relevant context than general-purpose AI. WebMD Ignite's own data includes 2.7 billion deidentified healthcare encounters from more than 400 EMR feeds and predictive models spanning more than 650 clinical conditions.
The system is said to have privacy at its core, with individual-level identifiers blocked from agent outputs, while small-cell suppression further protects aggregate results. Findings and recommendations are fully traceable back to the information source, human oversight remains embedded throughout the ecosystem, and the system operates a feedback loop to learn as it goes.
Ann Bilyew (pictured), the firm's EVP, Health and President, Healthcare Solutions Group states: 'AI agents give healthcare organizations an opportunity to make marketing more precise and more efficient by helping teams identify and reach the right audiences with the right message. That precision can help marketers make better use of every dollar they spend, while agents can also take on work that has traditionally required significant time and resources.'
