Forrester Continues Revenue Slide

Forrester Research has announced Q3 revenue down 8.7% to $86.1 million, with adjusted net income of $4.7 million. CEO and Chairman George Colony says the business, which has been shrinking rapidly since 2023, is 'stabilizing', and is raising its forecast for 2026 earnings.

George F. ColonyContract value fell less sharply, by 3.5% to $281.9 million, but unadjusted GAAP net loss was $4.4 million, a deterioration from $2.1 million in Q3 of 2025. The company is forecasting total revenues of c.$350.0m to $360.0m for the full year, representing a decline of between 9.3% and 11.8% from a year earlier, and a fall of around one third since 2022 when the total was $537.8m.

In the largest division, Research, revenue fell 3.5% to $70.1m; in Consulting by 31.3% to $14.7m; and in the Events division it recovered from near zero ($168k) to $1.225m.

Colony's talk of stabilization is based on 'results above consensus, a strong stock buyback program, and prudent expense management.' He comments: 'Our AI focus is deliberate and intentional, and we continue to advance our product roadmap, delivering new AI capabilities. This quarter, we unveiled a robust portfolio of new products including AI Access Plus, Team Solutions, and an integration with Claude. These offerings give our clients greater flexibility in how they access our research and insights to make better decisions faster. We believe these enhancements will help deliver improved results for the remainder of the year and into next year.'
