Semantic Analytics Specialist Querio Launches with $5m

In London, open-standard semantic analytics platform Querio has launched with a $5 million seed funding round, and says it will accelerate product engineering including its MCP and agentic ecosystem, expand its development team, and expand its marketing activity.

Querio logoLed by co-founders Rami Abi Habib (CEO) and Javier Bonilla (CTO), Querio aims to help keep business answers from AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT consistent, by ensuring the same company numbers are used by different tools. This is achieved using a semantic layer which saves metrics, dashboards, notebook models and security permissions as version-controlled files inside a customer's own GitHub repository.

With the funding announcement, the company has launched its platform into commercial production, and unveiled a free, open-source migration engine called unshackle, which pulls analytics data from legacy systems.

'For thirty years, analytics tools have kept a company's logic inside the vendor's product, where it's hard to move and hard for AI to work with,' says Abi Habib. 'Now everyone is asking data questions in Claude, Slack and wherever else they work, and they get three different revenue numbers. We built Querio so the data team owns that logic, and every AI tool in the company answers from it.' The platform is not floored by changes in information structure or naming with the company: 'Say sales renames a field in the CRM,' says Abi Habib. 'The revenue dashboard breaks, the Slack bot says no deals closed last week and Claude gives a third number. With Querio, the agent spots the change, fixes everything that depends on it and sends the data team one update to approve. After that, every tool gives the same answer.'

Investors include BMW i Ventures, LAUNCH, Haatch Ventures, Araya, Forum Ventures and Secways.
