New Home for Boxclever
In the UK, insight consultancy Boxclever has joined the Claverley Group, a diverse collection of media and communications businesses with an independent parent company tracing its roots back 150 years.
Headquartered in Leeds, Boxclever was founded in 2010 by three former execs from high-flying MR consultancy Nunwood (Kathryn Boxall, Sam Gardner and Claire Boorman), and offers research into customer experience, proposition development and pricing, segmentation, brand strategy and marketing effectiveness.
Boxclever joins six other companies in the group, but is the first insight agency. Claverley was formed in 1874 and since the following decade has passed through five generations of unbroken private ownership. Just eight years ago it made the decision to diversify its business through acquisition. Boxclever's new sister companies include brand, design and digital agency Bigkid, events and exhibition design and management solutions firm the Extreme Group, and b2b marketing firm Lyonsdown.
'Claverley Group is definitely the right place for us,' says Boxall (pictured). 'We realised very quickly that our values and emphasis on integrity are very aligned. It will remain BAU for us all, including the founders, who will be staying with the business. We are excited about the opportunities this new chapter will bring and look forward to what comes next. We need to say a special thank you to the loyal clients who have trusted us along the way and of course, our amazing team.'
Claverley Group CEO Phil Inman says of the buy: 'We are delighted to have concluded the acquisition of Boxclever. The award-winning business works with a number of high-profile brands and has grown consistently over recent years. We look forward to working with the current team to support further growth and development.'
