US Office for Australian MR Optimisers

Melbourne-based Insight Marketing Systems (IMS) will open an office in the USA to service North American customers for its 'Research Reporter' application. Emmons Patzer joins from Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS) to head up the operation.

Research Reporter is an MR management system used by corporate research departments to improve return on investment and assets.

Patzer will be VP Sales & Marketing - The Americas. At BMS he was Global Head of Market Research for the Mead Johnson Nutritional (MJN) division, following spells directing US Pharmaceutical Marketing Services for Bristol-Myers and Marketing, Sales, and Information Services for Blue Cross Blue Shield. His role at BMS included responsibility for the implementation of Research Reporter.

Patzer has 25 years' MR experience, has served on the Research Committees of the Association of National Advertisers and Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association and has contributed to MR education at the University of Georgia and the AMA's Advance School of Market Research. He is a member of the New York Academy of Sciences and the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and is a frequent speaker at MR industry events.

'Having seen the benefits of Research Reporter from the client side' says Patzer, 'I am convinced of its ability to help corporate market researchers leverage the power of their marketing knowledge. As part of IMS, I really look forward to extending the productivity benefits of Research Reporter to many more research departments in client companies around the world'.

IMS was founded in 1992 and is a privately held company. Research Reporter was released in February 2001 and helps clients control access to and re-use content-rich information, track and communicate information on multiple projects, and automate project processes.
