Forrester Goes Local in South Africa

Technology and MR specialist Forrester Research has appointed Zion Group as its independent sales representation in South Africa, to help the company serve its South African clients. The move is part of the company's continued investment in companies in its newly defined EMEA region.

Forrester offers analysis of the impact of technology on business, from deep IT issues to broader strategic goals. At the beginning of this year, the company redefined its global geographic regions to align more closely with those of its growing client base. The three regions are: Americas (North, Central and South America); EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) and Asia-Pacific (Japan, Korea, ANZ, Greater China, Singapore and India).

Robert Davidson, President of Forrester EMEA, says local representation by the Zion Group will help the company provide value and expertise to national, international, and global companies based in South Africa, and will 'help businesses thrive on technology change'.

Simon MacDonald, CEO and founder of Zion Group, says Forrester's clients in South Africa can now benefit from 'global knowledge and market expertise, with all the advantages of a local channel and delivery model to meet their sales and service demands'.

The partnership launch will be marked by an executive breakfast briefing at the Hyatt in Johannesburg on September 23, 2005, chaired by David Metcalfe, Senior VP of Research for Forrester EMEA. The event, named The Economics of IT, is aimed at CIOs and other senior technology and business executives.
