Qual Specialist Joins Ipsos in US

Ipsos Insight, the US MR division of Ipsos, has appointed Kate Danaj as Qualitative Research Consultant in the company's Consumer Products Division. Her role will involve developing qualitative research plans and moderating focus groups for key clients.

Danaj comes to Ipsos from Teenage Research Unlimited (TRU), where she specialised in qualitative research among young people. She is an expert moderator, trained in the Research In Values and Attitudes (RIVA) method of qualitative research, and has conducted research in traditional settings as well as unconventional locations - from kitchens to cruise ships. Prior to TRU, Danaj was a Strategic Planner at DMB&B Chicago, where she analysed the attitudes and behaviours of fast food consumers. Danaj earned a Masters degree from Northwestern University in Integrated Marketing Communications, with special emphases in advertising and consumer research.

In her new role, Danaj will provide qualitative research consultancy from her base in San Jose, California. According to Lauren Demar, President of Ipsos Insight's Consumer Products Division, Danaj's skill with 'time-tested projective techniques that truly dig beneath consumers' surface-level thinking' and her ability to provide 'concise, clear encapsulations coupled with strategic recommendations' have won praise from clients.
