Ciao Launches European Online Omnibus

European online panel specialist Ciao is launching an Internet omnibus service for the UK, Germany and France. The survey will run bi-monthly, using Ciao's existing panel, and will complement the existing US omnibus services provided by Ciao's parent company Greenfield Online.

The sample will mirror quotas set for age, gender, and geographic region, and clients will be able to receive data analysed by respondent age, gender, geographic region, marital status, children in the household, and income. Possible question types include yes/no choice, single, multi-select, ranking, attribute lists, and open ended questions. Data will be available within one week of the survey.

Gunnar Piening, MD of Ciao, says the new omnibus provides 'cost-effective access to quick-turnaround research results from census-representative respondents'. He says it offers the opportunity to 'test survey concepts before conducting a more complex study online for the first time, conduct incidence checks, as well as include graphics and custom data breaks with the omnibus questions'.

Ciao is a subsidiary of Greenfield Online, which currently runs US omnibus services and panels, including the recently launched teen panel (www.mrweb.com/drno/news4543.htm ). The companies are online at www.greenfield.com and www.ciao.com
