FIRM Updates Confirmit as Revenue Grows 35%

Norwegian survey software company FIRM achieved revenues of US$3.69m in the third quarter of 2005 - an increase of 35% on Q3 2004. Revenues for the first nine months of the year were up 30%. The announcement coincides with the launch of a new version of the company's Confirmit survey tool.

The company's pre-tax profits fell to $31k from $182K in the same quarter last year - in part due to a 50% rise in personnel costs. FIRM's Acting CEO, Lars Ahlberg stated that businesses in both Europe and North America have delivered 'another strong third quarter', which he describes as 'a continuation of the strong revenue growth over the last few years'.

FIRM launched a new version of its Confirmit flagship product this month. The new product, Confirmit10, includes upgrades to the following features.
  • New CAPI module This allows companies to upload data from offline surveys to a centralised database for reporting and analysing purposes.
  • Management reporting and analytics Clients can drill down to greater levels of detail through the live online report portal. There is also a selection of table variables, and data can be exported to PDF files, Excel or PowerPoint.
  • New community portals Clients can manage stakeholders via portals, and build profiles that combine transactional and attitudinal data.
The company says the overall goal of the new release is to 'increase the client's ability to reach more stakeholders', as well as allowing them to 'reach existing and potential customers, employees, partners and vendors in more ways for the purpose of collecting data'.

Mark Pearson, Head of Customer Research at online bank Egg, one of FIRM's clients, says the new software 'improves our customers' experience of interacting with us, which gives us better data, and the new reporting features enhance the quality of insight'.

FIRM's web site is at www.confirmit.com.
