ISA Acquires Visual Interviewing Software
US data collection company Interviewing Service of America (ISA) has acquired the Opinion One visual interviewing software suite. Opinion One's Corporate Operations Director Peter Blair and two technical members of staff are joining ISA as part of the acquisition. Meanwhile, Dina Paglia joins as Account Executive.
Opinion One's Computer Aided Visual Interviewing (CAVI) data collection method can be used in-person and online. Michael Halberstam, ISA's President, says: 'The amazing full screen, DVD-quality video lends itself to all kinds of mall and online ad testing'.
According to Blair, who joins ISA as Director of Marketing and Sales, the use of high-quality video 'has redefined the standard for engaging the respondent in high-impact entertainment and advertising research'.
Blair will work with ISA's staff to integrate Opinion One into ISA's range of services, and will continue to support Opinion One's current clients. Before working for Opinion One, he was Marketing and Corporate Communications Director for Quick Test/Heakin.
Also joining ISA from Opinion One are Justin Fister, Senior Software Engineer, and Aric Johantges, Senior Programmer. Fister will continue to develop the online functions of the software, and Johantges will train ISA programmers in questionnaire programming and reporting tools.
Paglia is joining ISA as an Account Executive specialising in multicultural data collection. She has spent eight years working in translation and multicultural communications, and is proficient in Japanese, Spanish and basic Italian. Her most recent job was as VP of Business Development for LanguageWorks in New York City.
