New Directors for Marketing Research Institute

The Marketing Research Institute International (MRII), which provides MR training and education, has announced its Board of Directors for 2006. The Board includes representatives from research agencies, clients and the US government, as well as staff from the University of Georgia, which works with the MRII on its distance-learning courses.

The Officers are as follows:

The MRII is a non-profit organisation. In partnership with the University of Georgia's Center for Continuing Education, it provides an online distance-learning course - the Principles of Marketing Research. Around 3,500 students from more than 60 countries have so far enrolled.

Susan Adelman, MRII's President, says she is hoping for record enrollments this year, as the organisation launches its first industry-specific supplement for the pharmaceutical industry. She says the MRII will continue to support marketing research certification efforts in North America and the rest of the world: 'Our President-Elect, John Kelly, who resides in Great Britain, will give us a strong worldwide presence as we expand globally.'
