ACNielsen China Appointment
ACNielsen has hired Mr Rene Bos as Executive Director of its Chinese subsidiary. The appointment reflects the company's greater focus on the development of online research services and the high growth potential of online-related marketing research in Greater China.
Based in Beijing, Bos will drive the accelerated build-up of ACNielsen China's online capabilities as well as the commercial and business development of online services. He will also initiate and assist in other regional business development activities and generally support ACNielsen's business efforts.
Bos had a lengthy career with NIPO - including two years as Chairman and Managing Director for its Hong Kong-based company Asia Commercial Research Ltd. After NIPO's acquisition by TNS, he held a senior international role in the TNS corporate head office in London.
Announcing the appointment, ACNielsen MD, China, Glen Murphy said, 'Rene has the depth and breadth of experience necessary to drive our Greater China business forward with his extensive knowledge of the market research industry and practices as well as our clients' business issues, along with solid experience working in a variety of market environments.'
