Lightspeed Announces Kids Panel

Global online provider Lightspeed Research is offering researchers more effective access to children (under 12) and young people (ages 13-17) online, using a new pre-approved system. The company secures parents'/guardians' permission and works to ESOMAR and COPPA guidelines.

The approach gets parental approval up front and means reduced fieldwork time and, claims Lightspeed, increased data quality.

According to Andrew Cayton, Senior VP Business Development, Europe: 'A recent National Consumer Council report showed that the UK 'children's' market is worth approximately £30bn. As children become more sophisticated and savvy, their influence on purchase decisions increases and their attitudes become of greater importance to both marketers and researchers. Lightspeed Research is able to provide companies access to this audience in an environment that is both safe and relevant for children.' Cayton adds that clients are increasingly asking for multimedia surveys.
