Simmons Creates Online Division

US provider Simmons Research has announced the launch of an online group, which will link custom online research with its National Consumer Study (NCS) and other data from parent company Experian.

Simmons Online will give clients access to more than 4,000 fields of respondent provided information and more than 50,000 additional data variables within the NCS, using the firm's patented behavioral integration technology. It will also produce a series of syndicated extensions to the NCS with an Automotive product introduction this August, and plans for links to Simmons Hispanic, Youth and Local Market products.

Experian's pool of over 24 million permission-based online responders promises users of the new division 'highly targeted online samples with high yields' according to President and COO Chris Wilson. Complex sample designs, statistically representative data and 'projection models' will also be possible. Wilson says the launch 'initiates a new era for 'need-it-yesterday' quality research within the company.
