DRNO Joins Pioneering Research Podcast

How do you get your company's news included in Daily Research News Online and other industry publications? You can of course just email it to us, but there's an art to keeping editors happy and boosting your chances. DRNO's Nick Thomas will be among those joining a live podcast discussion on Tuesday 18th July, part of the new ResearchTalk™ series.

ResearchTalk™ was launched just weeks ago by UK-based consultant Surinder Siama and is already boasting some big name guests, a growing audience of interested research professionals and its first two sponsors.

First to back the service was UK recruitment consultant Kate Dann of KD Consulting, who comments: 'There has never been a greater need in our industry for cross fertilisation with new thinking and 'outside' influences... the ResearchTalk™ proposition was music to my ears. Podcasts seem to offer the ideal solution for the time-poor professional who wants to keep pace with thought leaders.'

Guests to date include Matthew Higgins, Head of Brand Communications at First Direct; James Surowiecki, author of the seminal work The Wisdom of Crowds, John Kearon of BrainJuicer, Siamack Salari of EverydayLives, and Simon Andrews, co-founder of the innovative Big Picture Ad. Agency. As of today, global research industry guru Jack Honomichl joins the list, with a talk due out in July. Guest hosts have included Michael Warren, John Griffiths and Luke Perry.

The free PR clinic on 18th July will take place at noon, and in addition to Thomas will feature Research magazine Editor Marc Brenner and a representative from Camargue, the PR agency used by the MRS, TNS and others. If you would like to participate and ask the panel questions then visit www.researchtalk.co.uk/prclinic .

Siama says he has been 'blown away' by the reception so far from listeners, participants and the media, and promises more new features soon: 'This is just the beginning... we're working on some really innovative formats for the coming months to help us further along our mission.'

ResearchTalk™ Podcasts can be found at www.researchtalk.co.uk . Podcasts are audio or video files that can be easily played on computers or mp3 players such as Apple's iPod. Once subscribed, new shows automatically upload as they become available. For more information about getting set up to receive them, visit www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Podcast .
