Kirkham Joins Recruitment Group as NED
Former TNS CEO Mike Kirkham has joined the Board of recruitment services group OPD as a Non-Executive Director. OPD, whose Directors include former Tory cabinet minister and now Baroness Virginia Bottomley, is the parent of recruiter PSD, which has a specialist market research team.
The appointment is effective immediately. The other companies within OPD are Odgers Ray & Berndtson, Hoggett Bowers and Portfolio.
Kirkham announced in January that he was standing down as CEO of TNS after five years in the role, effective May (www.mrweb.com/drno/news5008.htm ), but said he would remain with the company until October 2006, working on specific projects. He was succeeded by David Lowden, previously COO. Kirkham joined AGB Research in 1970 and was appointed to the Taylor Nelson AGB board in 1992.
A graduate of Oxford University, he has extensive international experience, having had responsibility for a number of TNS's activities in Europe, North America and Asia.
