Media Group Promotes Researchers
In the US, Cablevision subsidiary Rainbow Media has strengthened its research function with two senior promotions, Sean Fassett to VP of Research for AMC and Daniel Marcu to VP of Research for the Independent Film Channel (IFC).
Fassett's new role includes measurement and analysis research for Cablevision's FVOD services Mag Rack and sportskool in addition to ongoing research support for AMC. He worked as Research Manager at NBC Cable Networks (CNBC/MSNBC) before joining Rainbow Media in 2001, originally as Research Manager for Bravo and IFC. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Communications from the New York Institute of Technology.
Marcu worked at Discovery Communications and Katz Media before joining Rainbow Media in 2001 as Research Manager for AMC. In 2003 he was promoted to Director of Research for IFC. He holds a Master of Science in Television and Radio from Brooklyn College and a Bachelors of Arts in Acting from Tel-Aviv University in Israel.
Both will report to Charlene Weisler, Senior Vice President of National Research for Rainbow Media, who comments: 'Sean and Daniel are both extremely dedicated individuals and in their time at Rainbow Media have contributed to the advancement and development of measurement tools that have helped us maximize the value of our brands.
