Full Service Online Route Pays Off for MetrixLab

Ambitious online agency MetrixLab has announced that its revenue and profit before tax more than doubled in 2006, to Euros 8.2m and Euros 3.3m respectively. The firm hopes to use strong organic growth and acquisitions to hit the Euros 50m revenue mark by 2009.

CEO Han de Groot told DRNO the company expects revenues to grow to Euros 14m in 2007 and to more than Euros 30m in 2009, purely by organic means. 'Via M&A we hope to expand to at least Euros 50m in 2009. We are continuously evaluating other online MR companies in and outside Europe.'

The company, which was recently named on Deloitte's prestigious 2006 EMEA Technology Fast 500 Program, aims 'to become Europe's biggest and best 'full service' online research provider'. de Groot questions the long-term prospects for online agencies focusing on 'access panels and low added value services, a market that is rapidly commoditizing, showing high growth rates but low margins... From an investment perspective they appear to be very attractive, but in the end it is all about sustained growth combined with strong profits.'

The figures show the scaleability of MetrixLab's products and operations, says de Groot. 'Furthermore, our profit margins are two to three times as high as the average in the sector.'

MetrixLab is headquartered in the Netherlands, with local offices in the UK, Spain and Germany and web home page at www.MetrixLab.com .
