Single Super-Site for Synovate UK

Synovate is to relocate all its UK research teams to a single location, Minerva House in London Bridge, SE1. The move is expected to take place late this year or early next.

The global group has backed the idea of high profile city-centre office sites before, CEO Adrian Chedore telling DRNO in May 2006 (www.mrweb.com/cgi-bin/drnofrmr.cgi?ppNum=5519 ) that moves into the centre of town in Chicago and New York were in part intended to establish 'an image and a presence' for the firm. Attracting talent is a key reason for this policy, and no doubt Minerva House will be intended as a magnet for London's many ambitious research professionals.

All teams including the UK arm of Synovate Healthcare will be located under one roof along with support functions and fieldwork teams, with the aim of optimising efficiency. The agency says it is commited to 'major investment' in its UK-based businesses and will provide a state-of-the-art working environment with potential for future growth. Synovate says it will involve staff in all key stages of the process.

The new office comprises four floors and 50,000 square feet, and will be refurbished and internally redesigned in the coming months. UK MD Michelle Norman comments: 'This is a big investment for Synovate UK, and one that will pay huge dividends from the outset. By bringing together all of our 500 UK based staff under one (very impressive) roof, we will enjoy greater integration and efficiency, along with space for future growth. It's not just Synovate who will feel the benefits of this, but our clients too.'
