Kline's New Model Gets Under the Skin

NJ-based management consulting and market research firm Kline & Company has announced a new interactive database and an analytical model, designed to give clients more in-depth understanding of the personal care industry.

The catchily titled Specialty Raw Materials for Cosmetics & Toiletries Global Database and The Kline Deformulation Model for the Personal Care Value Chain were introduced and demonstrated at the recent In-Cosmetics 2007 show in Paris. The new products can be used with the company's annually updated Global Cosmetics & Toiletries database to get a fuller picture of the industry's value chain.

Subscribing manufacturers and marketers can now analyze the market's finished products and then drill back up the chain using the Specialty Raw Materials database to examine the ingredients that go into them. The Deformulating Model allows them to see how much of each ingredient is being used in each finished product, and permits the adjustment of variables to view alternative scenarios.

Peggy Bennett, who manages the firm's titles relating to specialty chemicals for personal care, says the new products allow clients to 'dig deep into specifics... Our clients can examine raw material consumption by region, take a look at the intricacies of supplier sales, or compare the average market pricing of raw materials by application and region.

Kline focuses on the consumer products, chemicals and materials, energy, and life sciences industries, and is online at www.klinegroup.com .
