Marketing Body Strengthens European Presence
The CMO Council, a California-based association of senior marketing professionals, has signalled an intention to expand its activities in Europe by partnering with German marcoms agency, Matchcode.
Matchcode assumes management of the association's new member outreach and events programmes, and its MD Michael Bueckle will serve as CMO Council Senior Director Europe. A former CMO member, Bueckle, has 20 years' experience including time spent as Chief Marketing and Channels Officer at Hewlett-Packard where he helped build the firm's software business on a European and worldwide level.
California-based CMO is dedicated to knowledge exchange, networking and thought leadership among senior marketing and brand decision-makers. Regional chapters convene worldwide under the organisation's management entity, GlobalFluency, which has more than 100 offices in 72 countries. Council membership is by invitation-only and members are drawn from the upper echelons of corporate management.
Donovan Neale-May, Executive Director CMO Council commented: 'The CMO Council Europe will enjoy a vibrant and compelling schedule of programmes providing insight into a range of marketing challenges including improving customer analytics, marketing performance measurement, local market/regional/global marketing campaign integration, better aligning the sales and marketing functions, and maximizing return on investment.'
The CMO Council Europe, originally established in 2005, boasts membership of more than 3,000 senior level marketing executives from across the Continent, with the primary concentration of members in Great Britain. Matchcode, which has offices in Germany, the UK and the Netherlands will also be organising the annual CMO Council Europe Summit, which takes place in Washington in July.
