Senior Moves at IMS

IMS Health has named Kevin Knightly in the new role of Senior VP, Business Line Management, and promoted Adel Al-Saleh to replace him as President, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Knightly will continue to report to David Carlucci, IMS chairman and CEO, and will be based at the company's headquarters in Norwalk, CT, while Al-Saleh will report to COO Gilles Pajot.

In his new role, Knightly will be responsible for leading IMS's business lines, including sales force effectiveness, portfolio optimization, and launch and brand management - he will also drive the company's developing payer solutions initiative. He has 23 years of service at IMS and its predecessor companies and his senior posts have included CFO for both IMS North America and Europe, and Senior VP, Marketing and Major Markets, EMEA.

He previously spent 19 years with IBM, in a variety of roles spanning international sales, business development and executive management, and most recently as VP, Sales, IBM Northeast Europe.

Operating in more than 100 countries, IMS Health had $2.0 billion in 2006 revenue and is on the web at www.imshealth.com.
