Canadian Healthcare MR Firm Launched

Former Synovate and Greenfield Online man Dave Plunkett is heading up a new specialist research provider, Precision Healthcare Marketing Intelligence (Precision-HMI), based in Toronto.

The firm will collect data through a proprietary physician panel - the Canadian Healthcare Intelligence Panel - and through strategic partners, on behalf of healthcare research firms in Canada and worldwide.

Recent panel feedback has demonstrated that Canadian physicians prefer online research surveys to any other form of data collection, with 99% happy to complete surveys online, compared with 58% for telephone research and 56% for one-to-one interviews. Plunkett says the main reason sited for the preference in online surveys is convenience: 'Canadian physicians are very busy, and fitting a research survey into their schedules can be challenging'.

Plunkett previously worked in programming, data processing, and project and field management with Synovate, RIS Christie and Greenfield Online.

His firm recruits across all key medical specialities to provide sample for online or telephone surveys, one-to-one interviews and focus groups.
