Canadian Fieldwork Firm Adds Call Centre

Toronto-based Acrobat Research is to open a call centre in a mall complex in Greenwood, Nova Scotia, providing jobs for up to 150 people.

The company, which offers quant data collection via telephone and the Internet, also has offices in Kenya and India, and operates three other Canadian call centres, two of them in Nova Scotia.

Roland Klassen, President of Acrobat, says the firm hopes to source talent from families associated with the nearby military base at CFB Greenwood, and aims to have the 57-workstation, two-shift operation up and running by next week. The company will also benefit from a $864,600 payroll rebate from the local business development agency.
