Non-Exec Chairman for BrainJuicer

London-based online market research firm BrainJuicer has appointed Eric Kenelm ('Ken') Ford as Non-Executive Chairman. John Kearon remains the agency's Chief Executive.

Ken FordFord has 36 years' City experience, which includes a strong understanding of shareholder value, strategic planning and corporate transactions. Kearon confirms the decision to split the roles of Chairman and CEO was made to further strengthen the firm's governance and is in line with best practice.

Previously Chief Executive of investment bank Teather & Greenwood, Ford became Deputy Chairman and Chairman of Corporate Finance in 2004. For the two years prior to this, he was Chairman of the UK Society of Investment Analysts, and before this he held the post of Chairman of the Quoted Companies Alliance (QCA), and was a former member of the EU Advisory Committee to the Corporation of London. His previous directorships include Aberdeen Asset Management, Morgan Grenfell and Wedd Durlacher.

Kearon remarked: 'We are delighted that Ken has agreed to join the company, and the Board welcomes his insight and guidance.'

Ford responded by saying that he is excited by BrainJuicer's prospects for growth and looks forward to helping the Board realise the company's potential.

Founded in 1999, the firm operates from offices in the UK, the Netherlands and in New York. Its revenues are generated from full service market research work and its online Juicy Brains Panel in the UK. In June, BrainJuicer launched a test that measures creativity and a panel comprising 5,000 people identified by the test as 'Creative Sixers' (www.mrweb.com/drno/news6897.htm ).
