Australia's MRA Snapped Up by Daemon

Sydney, Australia -based market research firm MRA (Marketing & Research Associates) has been acquired by communications agency Daemon Group.

Established in 1991, MRA offers in-house research consultancy and field services and its facilities include a 50-seat outbound call centre and a suite of interview, group meeting and training rooms. The firm also runs a number of specialist panels using consumer, children, executive and health databases. Its 10 permanent staff and around 50 casual employees will continue to work under the direction of MD Hugh Bloch.

Daemon Group CEO Richard Spencer says the acquisition strengthens the core service offering of the group and demonstrates the importance of research to his company's approach to communications strategy. 'Research is a vital part of the communications mix and we can now back this up with an in-house, expert team of market researchers, analysts and state-of-the-art
facilities,' said Spencer.

With offices in Sydney, London and Prague, Daemon Group has specialist brand, marketing, interactive, business to employee communications, consumer and business PR teams and is online at www.daemongroup.com. MRA is on the net at www.mraholdings.com.au.
