Stakeholder Launch from Synovate Healthcare

Synovate Healthcare has launched a new syndicated service which it says will provide clients with a holistic view of pharma companies' relationships with their key stakeholders.

Measures offered by the Key Relationships Trackers (KRTs) include stakeholders' perceptions of a company's image, products and services, along with the impact of these perceptions on stakeholder behaviour. Each tracker will focus on a specific disease area and stakeholder type: the first will cover doctors' relationships with pharma companies in the area of haematological malignancies therapy.

Lucy Ireland, who heads up the KRT team, says that this move into relationship research represents a new arena for the company's syndicated services. She explained: 'As the pharmaceutical industry becomes increasingly competitive, this new study fills the growing need for research on key stakeholder relationships and, in particular, how reputations affect a product's market share.' Existing products include the Global Therapy Monitors, and a sales force effectiveness tool called Jigsaw.

Explained Synovate Healthcare CEO Michael Spedding: 'This service complements our existing suite of syndicated products. Once a problem area has been identified in the company/stakeholder interface, the impact of change on prescribing can be monitored using information from our Global Therapy Monitors and Jigsaw.'

Synovate Healthcare employs around 500 healthcare market research professionals across Europe, US, Asia Pacific and Japan. In July, the firm opened for business in Turkey (www.mrweb.com/drno/news7111.htm ). Web site: www.synovate.com/healthcare.
