Survey Tech Firm Wins Funding
Roseville, USA-based private equity fund DCA Capital Partners is investing an undisclosed sum in online survey technology firm Decipher, Inc.
Decipher, based in Fresno, CA, provides both end-clients and MR firms with online survey programming, data collection, data processing/reporting and custom technology development. The company says the money will be used 'primarily to pursue additional growth opportunities as well as further expand the operations and development staff.'
Decipher Co-CEOs Jamin Brazil and Jayme Plunkett pointed to the number of 'attractive growth opportunites' in the market and said it was 'the right time to raise institutional capital to capitalize on them'.
DCA Partner Jeremy Wolfe comments: 'Decipher ... has built a strong reputation for quality in this rapidly expanding market. They are highly regarded by customers and competitors alike and continue to develop leading services and tools for the industry. We hope our investment and partnership with the company will accelerate that success.' DCA Partner Curt Rocca, who will be joining the board of Decipher, adds: 'We believe this management team is uniquely suited to drive sustainable growth within the online market research industry and further build upon its competitive positioning.'
DCA provides expansion capital to businesses in underserved markets across Northern and Central California and the Pacific Southwest (Arizona and Nevada). Its investment is Decipher's first outside equity financing.
Decipher was founded in 2000 and has enjoyed an impressive year in 2007.
